How Does the Mini Key Work?

Model: Mini Mini F56, F57, F54, F55 - Years 2014-2023

Today, you will learn about the functions of the Mini remote. The first button is the lock: it allows you to unlock the vehicle and, if held down, also opens the windows and sunroof (if present). The second button features the Mini logo: holding it down locks the doors, windows, and mirrors of the car. The last button has a stylised car icon: this button allows you to open only the boot, without unlocking the car doors. To start the car, simply keep the key in your pocket and press the corresponding button on the dashboard.
