What to do if the remote control of our Mini, to which we recently changed the battery, suddenly stops working again? This is the case in this video, where not even the spare key works. The problem in this case is the signal amplifier of the key, which is located above the interior light fixture, near the internal rearview mirror. There are various types of this amplifier, which you can find for example on eBay on the page "Car Amplifiers for Mini", where all amplifiers for all models of this car are listed. To remove the component from its housing, there is only a small connector and a torx screw on the left side. The malfunction of this particular component would make the purchase of a new key useless.
