As shown in this tutorial, replacing the remote control battery in the Mini Cooper is a very simple and quick operation. You will need a replacement CR2032 battery and a small flat-head screwdriver or any equivalent tool.

First, remove the emergency key, then unlock the rear cover by prying it open at the top slot. Once unlocked, open it completely and unlock the second cover, which protects the battery.

Now you can proceed with the battery replacement.
