To reset the service light on a 2017 Mini Countryman, first turn on the ignition (without starting the engine); press and hold the button on the odometer until the message "reset possible" and the oil symbol appear; press and hold the same button again until the message "reset?" appears; press and hold the same button once more until the message "reset in progress" appears; once the reset is complete, the message "reset successful" will indicate that the reset has been carried out successfully. At this point, you can turn off the ignition and the reset has been completed.
