To replace the battery in the remote for the Mini R50, use a flat screwdriver to pry open the lower part of the remote, which is opposite to the key. This will allow you to open the remote and remove the green coding chip inside. Attached to the chip is the battery, which can be taken out of its housing and replaced with a new spare part.

After replacement, reinsert the battery back into its housing and snap the green chip back into the remote.
