In this brief tutorial, learn how to change the battery in the remote of a Mini Cooper R50, produced from 2001 to 2007. You will only need a small flathead screwdriver and a new battery. First, take your screwdriver and insert it into the keyring loop, then carefully lever to lift and remove the rear shell of the key. Once done, you can immediately extract the old battery and replace it with a new one. The battery for this remote model is a CR2025 3V.
