Model: Mini Mini
R56, R57, R55
- Years 2007-2014
In this video, we can see how to replace the timing chain tensioner of the Mini Cooper S R53. The procedure is quite simple. In order to replace the tensioner, after opening the hood and securing it, you need to use a 27-millimeter wrench to remove the metal clips that hold the pipes in place. Then, you need to use a screwdriver as shown in the video to remove the quick release and be able to remove the pipes to access the tensioner. At this point, you just need to remove the old tensioner, replace it with the new one, and then close everything by reinserting the metal clips and tightening them with a torque of 50 nm.

Below is how to replace the bulbs in all the interior lights of this vehicle. For the lights on the roof, use a flathead screwdriver to gently lever at the side where you will release the retaining clip, pull it out, and after replacing the bulb, press it back into place. For the light above the front seats, lever (with the flathead screwdriver) directly on the transparent plastic to detach it from the retaining tabs (replace the bulbs and press it back into place). For the rear light and number plate lights, perform the same operation: lever to release the tab, replace, and press back into place. by ScegliAuto More videos
