Replacing the Battery in a Mini

Model: Mini Mini R56, R55, R57 - Years 2007-2014

Follow these steps to replace the main battery in your Mini. Open the bonnet, remove the panel under the windscreen on the driver's side by unscrewing the two screws that secure it, and pull it out to access the battery. Disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal, and remove the vent tube. Unscrew the mounting bracket and take out the old battery using its handles. Clean the compartment with a vacuum, position the new battery, insert the vent tube, screw in the bracket, and reconnect the terminals. Finish by carefully reinserting the panel and securing it with its screws.
