If you try to pull the cable from the side where the bonnet is stuck, you won't hear the typical sound of the bonnet being released. Try pulling it manually from the hole in the wheel arch.

To solve the problem, instead of replacing the cable, add a small spacer, like a nylon washer, which can be inserted from the front by making a small cut, without disassembling anything. With this small cut, place it on the head of the cable, which will gain a small thickness, allowing the cable to open normally.
