Replacing the Cabin Air Filter on a Mini F

To block dirt and dust from circulating in the Mini's air conditioning system, the two elements of the filter mounted on the intake do the job. To ensure its efficiency, you must periodically replace them. From the front passenger seat, use a Torx key to unscrew the two screws securing the panel under the glove compartment and remove it after disconnecting the electrical connector. Unscrew the screw holding the panel on the centre tunnel, removing it after also disconnecting the connector. Open the cover at the end of the tunnel and, using needle-nose pliers, pull out the two sections of the filter. Insert the two new filter elements, close the cover, and reassemble the two panels.
