The handbrake is an essential component for any type of car. It allows the driver to leave the vehicle stationary without it moving, especially on sloped surfaces. For a Mini Cooper S, the removal of the operating cable requires the following tools: a socket, a T25 driver, the trim piece, a crosshead screwdriver, a flathead screwdriver, and a pry bar. Remove the snap-fit cover located beneath the handbrake inside the vehicle, and disconnect the cable connection; the process continues by raising the car and working underneath it: you will need to unsolder the cable that goes to the wheels and remove it, then replace it by performing the reverse operation of reassembly.
