Follow these steps to replace the front brake pads on a Mini. Open the bonnet, unscrew the cap of the brake fluid reservoir, remove the cover, and loosen the nuts on the front wheel. Lift the car with a jack, finish unscrewing the wheel nuts, and remove the wheel.

Use a lever to separate the pads from the disc, remove the covers, and unscrew the bolts that secure the brake caliper. Remove the retaining spring and secure the caliper to the shock absorber to prevent it from falling.

Remove the old pads and retract the piston into its housing using the appropriate tool. Clean the contact surfaces and apply a thin layer of anti-squeal grease, then fit the new pads.

Reassemble everything in reverse order. Repeat the same procedure on the other wheel.
