How to Activate/Deactivate Traction Control on a Mitsubishi ASX

To deactivate traction control on a second-generation Mitsubishi ASX, start the vehicle and locate the button for the ASC system, identifiable by the car symbol with wavy lines and the word OFF. With the vehicle stationary, press the button to disable the system: the corresponding light will illuminate on the instrument panel, indicating that electronic control has been disabled. To reactivate it, press the same button again and ensure the indicator turns off. The ASC system, which manages stability and traction control, is normally active at every vehicle start and should be left on during regular driving. Deactivation may be temporarily useful when allowing for greater wheel slip, for example, to free the vehicle from snow, mud, or particularly soft surfaces.
