To change the engine oil on a Moto Guzzi California, start by warming the engine for a few minutes to make the oil more fluid and facilitate drainage. Turn off the engine and place the bike on a centre stand to keep it stable.

Locate the oil drain plug under the engine and position an appropriate container underneath to collect the used oil. Using a suitable spanner, unscrew the drain plug and allow the oil to completely drain into the container. Once the oil has fully drained, clean the drain plug and the drain hole with a clean cloth, then securely reattach the plug.

Remove the oil filler cap located on the top of the engine and pour in the new oil using a funnel to avoid spills. Ensure you use the type and quantity of oil recommended in the owner's manual.

After filling the oil, replace the filler cap, start the engine, and let it run for a few minutes, then turn it off and check the oil level with the dipstick, adding more oil if necessary.

How to Replace the Clutch on the KTM XCF 450?

Once the cover screws are loosened, you can remove it to access the underlying clutch.
