In this video, some common problems of the Nissan Cabstar are listed, starting from a 2010 model with 160,000 km: premature wear and stretching of the timing chain, caused by low-quality components. If not replaced, it can skip, causing severe damage. The injectors leak combustion gas between the injector and the cylinder head, causing the engine oil to mix with the gases, forming a black, hardened paste around the base of the injectors that hardens to the point of blocking the injectors in the cylinder (the YouTuber refers to it as "black death"). To remove them, one might end up breaking the cylinder head or the injector, leading to costs one can imagine. The engine tends to overheat due to a faulty thermostat and low-quality EGR radiator. The oil vapor ventilation system from the crankcase is poor and inefficient, leading to increased internal pressure in the engine, which results in all the problems described above. Lastly, the exhaust manifold tends to crack and break, precisely due to overheating and low-quality materials. In light of all this, we should take care of maintenance, listen to the engine, check the oil light, and be cautious of overloading: the YD25 engine was not designed for continuous heavy loads.
