How to Change Fuel Filter on Nissan Navara D40

In this video, see how to change the fuel filter on a Nissan Navara D40: start by disconnecting the battery; the filter is located on the right side of the engine, right next to the battery: loosen the hose clips on the filter, and wiggle them to detach from the old filter; if you have difficulty, use some WD-40: remove the bolt that secures the filter bracket; be careful of the water drain tube (if present) that may hinder removal. Lubricate the connections of the new filter hoses with silicone grease, insert the new filter into the bracket and reposition the 10 mm bolt. Reconnect the hoses and tighten the clips. Now bleed the air by repeatedly pressing the pump under the filter. If the version has an electric pre-supply pump, start the car without starting the engine and turn the key 2/3 times to circulate the fuel. Be very careful when reconnecting the hoses not to swap them, as this would prevent operation.
