How to Change the Key Fob Battery on a Nissan Micra

To change the battery of the key fob on a Nissan Micra, first remove the cap at the end of the key, near the metal part, using the appropriate release button or latch. Insert a small flathead screwdriver into the slot of the fob cover. Gently pry apart the two halves of the shell, taking care not to damage the plastic or the electronic circuit. Locate the button cell battery and carefully remove it without touching the electrical contacts. Insert the new battery of the same type as the original, ensuring the polarity matches the indicated position. Reassemble the fob shell and press the two halves together until they lock securely. Press the lock and unlock buttons to verify that the fob functions correctly.
