On the Nissan Navara D40 (2.5 dCi YD25 engine), the oil change requires about 7 litres of oil (the total capacity is 7.4-7.6 litres with filter). Use a 5W-30; if a DPF is present, use a low-SAPS ACEA C3 oil. You will need a 14 mm socket for the drain plug, an oil filter wrench, a torque wrench, and a container. Warm up the engine, open the drain plug (14 mm), and let the oil drain out. The filter is in a difficult position: it is located on the side of the engine, under the fuel filter. The easiest way to access it is to remove the fuel filter from its bracket (two 12 mm nuts) to free up space, or access it from the wheel arch. Unscrew the old filter, clean the seat, lubricate the seal of the new one, and screw it in by hand. Tighten the drain plug to 25 Nm. Pour in about 7 litres of oil, check with the dipstick, and top up to the correct level. Start the engine, turn it off, wait, and check again. To reset the service light: turn on the ignition, press and hold the trip odometer button (on the right side of the dashboard) until the spanner icon flashes, then scroll to the desired interval (e.g., 10,000 km) and wait for confirmation. The oil filter on the D40 is notoriously difficult to reach. If you can't access it from above, try from the right front wheel arch (removing the plastic cover) or from underneath with the vehicle raised.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHow to Replace the Battery in a BMW 2 Series Active Tourer?
To replace the battery in a BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, open the hood to access the components in the engine compartment: in the upper right corner, just below the windshield on the driver's side, you will find a panel to remove. The battery is located under this panel and can be removed by loosening the screws that secure it and disconnecting the power cables; this will allow you to connect and install the new battery to ensure everything functions correctly. by ScegliAuto More videos
