In this video, you will learn how to resolve the issue of a stiff or difficult-to-move gear lever on an Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro. It is not necessarily a serious problem with the gearbox; through a few quick checks, you can find a solution for a problem that is not that severe.

First, ensure there is a minimum gap between the gear lever and the reverse lock. Lift the gaiter and take a look.

There should be a minimum distance of 3.3/3.4 mm between these two points. Next, check the top right corner of the engine bay; here you will find the connections and levers where you can spray a bit of WD-40 to help them move more freely.

If there are worn parts, rust, or similar issues, do not hesitate to take the vehicle to a workshop.
