In this video we see how to solve the problem of a stiff or difficult to move gear lever on an Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro. It is not necessarily a serious gearbox problem; through some quick checks we can find a solution to a problem that is not so serious. First of all, we need to make sure that there is a minimum distance between the gear lever and the reverse lock. Lift the boot and take a look. There must be a minimum distance of 3.3/3.4 mm between these two points. Then take a look at the top right corner of the engine compartment; here we find the connections and levers on which we can spray some WD-40 to make them move better; if there are worn parts, rust, or anything like that, do not hesitate to take the vehicle to a mechanic.
