Cleaning of the MAF sensor of Opel diesel engines

If the diesel-powered engines installed on Opel-branded cars show irregularities and fuel consumption has changed, we proceed to clean the MAF sensor mounted on the fuel system. We open the engine hood and locate the sensor body mounted at the air filter outlet. We disconnect the electrical connector, loosen the clamps on the sides of the sensor with a socket wrench, and remove it from the tubes. We place the sensor body on a work surface and spray a cleaning spray based on isopropyl alcohol inside it. We wait for it to dry and reassemble the sensor in its place.
