To perform maintenance on the MAF sensor of an Opel Astra K, we will need a TX25 star screwdriver, a specific cleaner such as LiquiMoly Sensor Cleaner, which can be found on Amazon with code B00295EEBK at a price of 16.00 euros with free delivery for Prime customers.

The MAF sensor is located between the air filter and the throttle body (on the intake), connected to an electrical connector, which we will need to disconnect.

Unscrew the two screws (to reach the lower screw it may be necessary to loosen the air box screws). Once the sensor is removed, spray the filament and internal components with the cleaner, and let the spray evaporate in the air. When it is completely dry, reposition it in its seat, screw the screws back in, and reconnect the connector.

Never touch the filament, which is extremely delicate.
