Vauxhall Astra - Video tutorial

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra J - Years 2009-2016
Part: Mass air flow sensor
Operation: How to clean the Opel Astra J air flow meter

The air mass meter or MAF sensor (better known in the jargon as a mass air flow meter), has the function of transmitting to the engine management control unit the data relating to the intake air mass according to which the control unit itself must manage the quantities of fuel to be injected: it is obvious that if the mass air flow sensor does not work correctly it will provide the control unit with incorrect information at the expense of performance and fuel consumption; constant cleaning of this sensor is certainly a right precaution and can be done with contact spray; therefore unscrew the clamps that secure the mass air flow sensor to the engine air filter box, disconnect the plug and spray it with compressed air before installing it again.
