How to Clean the MAF Sensor on Opel Astra J

The mass air flow meter or MAF sensor (commonly known as the debimetro) transmits data regarding the mass of the intake air to the engine management unit, which uses this information to manage the amount of fuel to inject. It is clear that if the MAF sensor does not function correctly, it will provide incorrect information to the unit, adversely affecting performance and fuel consumption. Regular cleaning of this sensor is certainly a good precaution and can be done using contact cleaner spray. First, unscrew the clamps that secure the MAF sensor to the air filter housing, disconnect the connector, and clean it with the spray, drying it with compressed air before reinstalling it.
