Let's see how to design and create an armrest for an Opel Corsa E: first of all, the YouTuber analyzes the available space and decides to build a structure with two wings that fit into the storage compartment, leaving space for the handbrake to be used.

After choosing the materials (then everyone will choose according to their preferences), he transfers the design onto a wooden panel and cuts it precisely.

He glues the wooden pieces together to form the "U" frame, which rests on the storage compartment. He inserts the structure into the car to check its fit and the accessibility of the handbrake.

He covers the structure with gray felt to give it a finished look, creates a cushion with foam rubber, which is covered with the chosen fabric, applies Velcro on the top of the structure and on the base of the cushion, so that it can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement.

To add a more polished detail, he adds aluminum profiles to the junction points.

The final result is functional, aesthetic, and practical. The cost is very low, but the difficulty is medium/high: it requires precision in cutting and design.
