Correction of the pollution error on the Vauxhall/Opel Vivaro

Let's see how to solve the problem of the anti-pollution warning light on our Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro: the sensor cables were chewed, probably by a rodent, under the engine compartment. It was enough to solder the broken wires and protect the joints with heat shrink tubing. After the repair, the error disappeared on its own after a short journey (although sometimes a diagnostic tool may be necessary to reset the error codes stored in the ECU). The system was functional because the ECU monitors all the sensors of the exhaust system: when the cables were cut, it no longer received a valid signal, thus activating an error and turning on the anti-pollution warning light. In this way, the engine was put into protection mode. The YouTuber then decided to use a cleaner, pouring it into the fuel tank when it is almost empty, and then take a nice trip on the highway to allow a regeneration cycle of the DPF. It was also a great idea to change the oil, which could have been contaminated by diesel fuel.
