Removing the Ignition Switch on an Opel Astra G

In this guide, you will learn how to remove the ignition switch from an Opel Astra. First, remove all the plastics covering the steering column; check carefully as there are several pieces located along all sides. Once you are sure they have all been removed, pull out the plastics, releasing the clips that still hold them in place. Once done, you will have access to the ignition switch. Remove the clips that hold it in place and, using a screwdriver, lever it outwards. Be careful as there is a small spring at the end of the switch; at this point, the switch has been removed.
