Removing the Ignition Switch from an Opel Astra

Remove the ignition cylinder from an Opel Astra, here’s how to proceed. Before removing the ignition switch, disconnect the battery power cables. Unscrew the side and bottom trim screws of the steering wheel using a socket spanner, then remove the trim from the steering column. Once the plastics are removed, take out the ignition switch using a screwdriver and the ignition key. After extracting the ignition switch, prepare for the installation of the new part. Proceed in reverse order for the installation.
