How do you remove the indicator stalk on an Opel Astra? Before removing the steering wheel, disconnect the battery power cables. Use a screwdriver and suitable bit to unscrew the steering wheel covers, then remove the airbag by unscrewing the screws present. Once the airbag is removed, disconnect the power connectors; then unscrew the central bolt of the steering wheel and disconnect the power connectors. Pull the steering wheel off with your hands after marking the securing position with a marker. After removing the steering wheel, extract the indicator stalk from the steering column (remove the covering plastics).
