The sensors for the exhaust gas temperature are responsible for measuring and monitoring the temperature of the exhaust gases. For example, the DPF OFF UP sensors serve the function of informing the control unit of the temperature during the regeneration phase in order to dose the amount of diesel to reach 600°, which then triggers a regeneration based on the codes entered in the control unit's software. If the temperature is too high, the sensor sends an error code to the control unit, which alerts the dashboard so that it can be monitored. In case of a sensor malfunction, it is necessary to replace it. To replace the sensor on an Opel Mokka vehicle, we loosen the sensor nut with a 17 mm wrench and disconnect the sensor connector cable to remove it.
