Error code 89 on an Opel Mokka vehicle is used to indicate a generic error present in many vehicles as a factory error due to a malfunction of the temperature sensor. This error can be easily reset as it mostly appears when the engine is cold, simply remove the key and reinsert it to clear the error.

If you want to prevent this error code from reoccurring when the engine is cold and during certain times of the year, you can have the exhaust temperature sensor replaced. Once the new sensor is installed, you will no longer have to deal with the factory error.
