Location and Replacement of the Fuel Filter on the Opel/Vauxhall Grandland X 1.5 HDI

The fuel filter on the Opel Grandland X 1.5 HDI is located on the rear left side of the vehicle, underneath the car, and is protected by a small plastic cover; you can access it without lifting the car with a jack. Underneath the car, there is a plastic cover that must be removed from that side; it comes off easily, allowing you to see the fuel filter cover: insert a 19 mm Allen key into the upper central hole and unscrew the cover counter-clockwise; during the draining process, diesel will come out, so keep a bowl and a cloth handy to catch the fuel that spills out. Once the cover is removed, the filter can be pulled out by hand, also removing the rubber seal. You can find the replacement on Amazon with the code B075NVGWW5 for £16.48, with free delivery for Prime customers. Replace the seal, insert the filter, reattach the cover, refit the protective cover, and you're done.
