How to change the cabin air filter in the Opel Grandland X

On the Opel Grandland X, the cabin air filter is accessed from the passenger side, working in the area under the dashboard near the glove compartment. Before starting, turn off the car, wait a few minutes with the ventilation/air conditioning off, and prepare a torch: the space is limited and visibility is important. To reach the filter, clear the area by removing the lower panel covered in carpet if present, carefully unclipping the fasteners to avoid breaking them. Once access is opened, locate the filter compartment cover on the air conditioning unit and open it just enough to slide out the filter element. When extracting, the filter may bend: guide it out slowly to avoid spreading dust and debris in the cabin; if necessary, clean the edge of the compartment with a cloth or light vacuuming. Insert the new filter in the same direction as the one removed, ensuring the orientation indicated on the filter is respected and the foam seal fits correctly to ensure a tight seal in the compartment. Close the cover, check that it is properly seated, and reassemble the panels and clips in their original position. At the end of the job, turn on the ventilation for a quick check: if there are no unusual noises and the airflow is steady, the replacement is complete.
