How to Remove the Glove Compartment of the Opel Grandland X

This guide shows how to remove the glove compartment on the passenger side of the Opel Grandland X. First, pull the front passenger seat all the way back. Next, from the bottom of the dashboard, detach the fastening pins of the trim panel; on the side of the dashboard adjacent to the door, remove the plastic cover. By unscrewing the Torx screws located inside the edge of the glove compartment, you can free the compartment from the frame. With the flap closed, you can remove the piece by applying slight force. Be careful not to pull too hard as the electrical connections for the compartment light and the passenger airbag disable switch may get damaged. To complete the removal, disconnect these two cables. At this point, the operation is fully completed.
