How do you replace the air filter of an Opel Astra? Open the car door, pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, and lift the front bonnet; secure it. Open the soundproofing panel for the air (disconnect the air intake hose), remove the panel with the filter box from the engine compartment, then extract the worn air filter and insert a new one, ensuring it fits snugly around the edges. Finally, refit the air box panel and tighten the securing screws. Close the front bonnet after assembly.
