Before you begin, turn the wheels of your Opel Astra fully to the right. Start by unscrewing and removing the screws in the left wheel arch, then detach and move the inner wheel arch cover.

This will give you access to the windscreen washer pump, which you need to unclip from its housing. At this point, disconnect the relevant hose, then remove the windscreen washer pump, completing the disassembly.

To install the new windscreen washer pump, simply reverse these steps, and you will have completed the replacement.
