How to detach the rear seats of an Opel Astra? Let's see how to remove the rear seat of the car. First, remove the seat base (lift the seat with your hands) until it completely detaches from the metal frame. Unscrew any screws present under the front part of the seat. Remove the metal guides at both ends of the backrest (mounted on the car's metal frame), using plastic or metal levers. Detach one part of the seat from the car's metal frame (repeat the same operation on the other half of the backrest). Install the new rear seats by reversing the disassembly process.
