How to Remove the Gear Knob in an Opel Astra

Today, you will see how to replace the gear knob and gaiter on an Opel Astra H, which is the model from 2004 to 2010. Unscrew the knob by applying pressure and turning it. Remove the lower part of the knob. Now also remove the worn gaiter. Assemble the new knob using components from the old one and the newly purchased one. Then fit the new gaiter onto the knob and reinsert it into its position in the centre console. Be careful when fitting everything into the gear lever housing. Check everything and then you are done.
