First, get into the vehicle and start by pulling upwards firmly to detach and remove the gear knob from the lever; this will also remove the gaiter attached to the knob, as shown in the video. At this point, separate the gaiter from the knob and replace the knob with a new one; insert and refit everything onto the gear lever, applying the reverse procedure for reassembly!
