This guide provides instructions to remove and replace the gear knob and gaiter on the Opel Astra. First, get inside the vehicle and gently detach the gaiter from the base; then pull firmly upwards on the gear knob, removing it along with the gaiter, as shown in the video.

At this point, separate the knob from the gaiter and replace it with the new one, securing it with a clip between the gaiter and the knob if necessary; finally, refit everything onto the gear lever, following the video tutorial to the end!
