How to Change the Coolant Level Sensor on an Opel Astra

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra H - Years 2004-2010

Repair the coolant level sensor on an Opel Astra. The reservoir is clearly visible when you open the bonnet, and while the warning light indicates that the coolant needs topping up, you can see from the reservoir that there is sufficient coolant present. Therefore, the problem is the sensor. Disconnect the battery located just below and remove it temporarily. To disconnect the side clip of the reservoir, you need to remove the cover of the fuse box: only then will it be clearly visible. Remove the connector located under the reservoir using a screwdriver. Tilt the reservoir to access the sensor, which you will replace with the new one you have already obtained, costing no more than £16.00 from major e-commerce platforms. Transfer the reducer from the old sensor to the new one, and reassemble everything in reverse order: reposition the reservoir, reconnect the connector, reattach the side clip, and then the fuse box cover. Now it's time to reposition and reconnect the battery. The job is finished.
