Where is the coolant temperature sensor located in the Opel Astra?

In this video we can see where the coolant temperature sensor is located in the Opel Astra and how to proceed in case we need to replace it. As shown, the sensor in question is located in the lower area of the expansion tank, which will therefore need to be disassembled. To do this, make sure first of all that the engine is completely cold, then remove the battery and remove the two side blocks of the tank. Release the tank from the support, disconnect the sensor connector and remove it from the housing. To install the replacement and reassemble everything, simply follow the reverse procedure.
