In this video, you will see how to adjust the handbrake on an Opel Corsa. The presenter starts by checking the integrity of the cable, then sprays a lubricant similar to WD-40 to clean the cable contacts. The adjustment, however, takes place from inside the vehicle. You will need to remove the cover surrounding the handbrake handle. Underneath, you will find the adjustment screw, which will allow you to tighten it (in this case, as the handbrake needed nine clicks before being fully engaged). You will need a number 10 spanner for this operation, which requires many small turns due to limited space. The ideal tension is three clicks of the lever.
