How do you replace the timing belt of the Opel Astra?

In the Opel Astra, the replacement of the timing belt is carried out by opening the hood, so that access to the components located inside the engine compartment can be obtained: here you can loosen the screws that secure the cover of the top part of the engine, the air filter box, and the left side panel of the engine block. Under the latter, you can locate the belt, whose tension can be reduced by loosening the tensioner pulley: at this point it will be possible to insert the new timing belt around the pulleys, reassembling the tensioner pulley and verifying that the engine turns correctly.
