Vauxhall Astra - Video tutorial
Model: Vauxhall Astra
Astra G
- Years 1998-2006 In this video tutorial you can see how to replace the timing belt on Opel Astra, following simple steps: First you have to lift the bonnet and secure it, with a special rod. Let's start by removing the timing belt cover. Mark the position of the pulley to avoid out of phase valve timing. Insert the stop bolt to prevent the camshaft from moving; squeeze it until it moves. Loosen the center pin of the tensioner roller and you should be able to remove the timing belt at this point. Replace it with the new one and reassemble all parts in reverse order.
