To replace the timing belt on the Opel Astra, access the left side of the engine block where the timing belt is located. To reach this area, remove the right front wheel and the corresponding wheel arch liner.

Then, loosen the central nut of the tensioner pulley to remove it, allowing the timing belt to be taken off. After removing the old belt, fit the new one around the pulleys, tension it, and ensure everything is functioning correctly.
