The procedure for replacing the timing belt on the Opel Astra is carried out by accessing the left side of the engine block: here the timing belt will be present. To access this part of the engine, you will need to remove the front right wheel and the corresponding wheel arch: then you can loosen the central nut of the tensioner pulley, so that it is removed and the corresponding belt can be removed. After removing the old belt, it will be possible to insert the new one around the pulleys, bringing it back into tension and checking that everything works.
