Loosen the bolts of the rear wheel, lift the scooter with a jack, and remove the wheel. Unscrew the two screws securing the brake caliper and remove it. Take out the caliper retaining pins with a flat screwdriver and extract the old brake pads. Open up some space for the new pads, as they will obviously be thicker than the worn ones. Use a large screwdriver or your preferred tool to do this; the important thing is to insert it and leverage to widen the space between the caliper pistons. Refit everything.
