Cleaning of the MAF sensor of Peugeot HDi engines

The engine warning light coming on together with a decrease in performance of Peugeot HDi engines may be due to a dirty MAF sensor. To clean it, we open the engine hood, remove the plastic cover of the engine, disconnect the electrical connector of the sensor located at the entrance of the injection system, loosen the clamp of the air intake tube near the turbocharger, disconnect the middle attachment and loosen the clamp of the tube near the sensor and remove the tube. Using an 8mm socket wrench, we unscrew the three screws that secure the sensor and remove it. We clean the sensor using a specific spray, let it dry well, and reassemble everything by following the reverse procedure.
