A common problem that tends to occur frequently on Peugeot's 1.2 Pure Tech engines is oil pressure issues, which are indicated by the oil pressure warning light and error code P15A8. This can lead to loss of pressure and deposits in the engine oil. Therefore, it is necessary to remove the oil pan, drain the oil from the residue by removing the bolts from the pan. It may be tight, so use a sturdy scraper to pry between the engine and the pan and remove the sealant. We will find that the oil filter is blocked by deposits, which is causing the low pressure. It is necessary to clean thoroughly by removing the residue and changing the oil. Unfortunately, the problem is caused by the timing belt breaking inside the oil bath, so it is essential to check this part especially.
