To replace the engine oil and oil filter on a Peugeot 205, you need to purchase the BOSCH filter model P3261 and the "Shell Helix HX7 10W-40" engine oil. Open the front bonnet for better visibility during the oil change, and using a jack and axle stands, lift the front of the vehicle. With the aid of a spanner, unscrew the sump bolt. Allow the oil to drain into a container while unscrewing the oil filter using a spanner or a flathead screwdriver and a hammer. Replace the filter and the seal of the housing if necessary. Close the sump bolt and lower the vehicle. Pour the required amount of oil into the reservoir as specified in the user manual.
