It is not a cheap tool even if we want to buy it on AliExpress, where the code 1005007820816137 costs 548.99 euros, with free delivery. In fact, on newer cars like our Peugeot 3008 (and on most modern Euro 6 cars) it is not possible to reset without professional diagnostic tools. This is because the system involves multiple control units that communicate with each other, and only professional tools can access the specific CAN dialogue; simply clearing errors is not enough, sequential initialization procedures are needed, in addition, manufacturers require security codes to access reset functions, and generic tools (basic OBD2) do not have these authorizations. We must also be careful of the risks: after a certain number of countdowns, the car locks and won't start anymore, and DIY attempts can only worsen the situation.
