How to test the heater fan of the Peugeot 3008.

Let's see how to quickly and effectively test the air conditioning fan of the Peugeot 3008: if the fan is not blowing air, or only blows at one speed, we need to determine whether the fault lies with the fan motor or if the issue is with the resistor that controls the speed (or possibly the fuses and wiring). The fan motor is located on the driver's side (right-hand drive) under a side panel of the dashboard. The resistor is mounted in the air duct, near the fan motor. Before starting, it is advisable to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
Let's locate the fan motor and identify the 2-pin connector; disconnect it, take a multimeter set to voltmeter (or a two-wire light bulb), and connect it to the two terminals of the connector. Reconnect the battery, turn on the ignition, activate the ventilation system, and change the fan speed. If the light bulb turns on and the brightness changes according to the selected speed, everything is fine. If it does not turn on, then a multimeter set to DC Volts is needed. Turn on the ventilation system: if we measure 0V at all speeds, there is an upstream issue; if we measure 12V without variation, we have a problem with the resistor.
